This fun brooch depicts a petri dish filled with the cutest of microbes. If you've ever wondered whether you could one day walk around with a petri dish on your blouse or jacket, here is your answer, and the answer is yes!
Each brooch will be a little bit different, and no two brooches are alike! Upon purchase you will receive a brooch, but not exactly like, those that in these photos; the colours and arrangements of the microbes will vary.
These brooches were created in part as a way to use up all the tiny spaces in my acrylic sheets while laser cutting, in an effort to minimise material wastage during manufacture of of Oh Plutos jewellery.
The microbes are set against a 3.5cm (1.4 inch) disk of clear acrylic to resemble a petri dish. Each 'petri dish' is backed with a stainless steel brooch pin with locking clasp.
