Germination Asymmetrical Earrings

$35.00 AUD
Tax included, shipping and discounts calculated at checkout.

These asymmetrical earrings show the germination process. Did you know that the cotyledons are the two first leaves to appear during germination. These leaves are usually a different shape from the mature leaves of the plant and derive their energy from the seed. How cool!

The earrings are comprised of two layers of acrylic, giving them a feeling of depth. Root and soil details have been engraved and handpainted.

The earrings measure 4cm in height and hang from a yellow 'sun' acrylic topper.

The earrings posts are surgical steel and are paired with Comfort Clutch ear nuts.

The perfect pair of earrings for a horticulturalist, botanist, biology teacher, or plant lover!

Want a different earring topper? Choose hooks, hoops, or clip-ons here.

These were just made for me!

I feel like these earrings were made for me! I manage a native plant propagation nursery and germination is my world. I wear a daggy uniform and am always on the lookout for fun jewellery that starts conservations with visitors about native plants and conservation. Usually I can only find native bird themes so discovering these germination earrings was such a thrill - they are so unique and perfect for what I do! Lightweight but not flimsy, solid construction and vibrant colours true to website. Well packed and arrived quickly. I see the brooch in my future…

These are amazing! I bought two matching pairs for my co-teacher to celebrate a successful biological sciences teaching term. The kids all got such a kick and kept spouting all the germination knowledge they knew 🥰
