This sedimentary rock brooch is made from 6 different layers of beautifully textured acrylics. 

Sedimentary rocks are formed by the accumulation or deposition of mineral or organic particles at the Earth's surface over a very long period of time. Sedimentary rocks often have distinctive layering and can contain fossils, making them important for understanding Earth's history.

Three fossils have been laser engraved and handpainted in the surface of the acrylic, and the layers are secured onto a clear acrylic backing.

Layers of fun

This is a really nice little piece, with rich & vibrant layers. I'm a bit challenged when visualising the size, so had worried I might find it too big to double brooch with. It's not; it's going to be perfect alongside my dinosaur brooches. Another great quality bargain 😊
